Why Book a Delhi to Agra Taxi Instead of a Bus or Train
Train service to Agra may be quite fast, but it has fixed times of operation, and you still need local transport from Agra Cantt station. Bus services may be cheaper, but they are definitely slower, and you would be at loss of the privacy and comfort of your own transport. By hiring a taxi in Delhi for a trip to Agra, you will be picked up right from your doorstep, get a chance to ride at your own schedule, and stop for breakfast at a roadside dhaba anytime you want. When it comes to a one-day trip to the Taj Mahal, the only transport that would let you leave at around 5 or 6 am, spend the entire day at Agra and arrive back home in the evening would be a taxi.
Delhi to Agra Taxi Options - Which One Do You Need?
We offer three main ways to book this route, depending on your plan.
1. Same-Day Delhi to Agra Taxi (Day Trip)
This is by far the most popular booking on this route. You leave Delhi early in the morning, reach Agra in about 3.5 to 4 hours, cover the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and maybe Mehtab Bagh or a marble handicraft shop, have lunch, and head back to Delhi the same evening. Most same-day trips get you home by 9–10 PM.
2. One-Way Delhi to Agra Taxi
If you're staying overnight in Agra, flying out from there, or continuing onward to Jaipur or Gwalior, a one-way taxi makes more sense. You pay only for the distance covered, drop your luggage, and there's no obligation to keep the same cab for the return leg.
3. Round-Trip Delhi to Agra Taxi
Planning to spend a night or two in Agra and then come back to Delhi by road? A round-trip package usually works out cheaper than booking two separate one-way cabs, since the return fare is bundled in. This is also the better choice if you want the same driver and car for the whole trip - useful if you liked how the driver handled things on the way there.
